Who is dubLeE of this dubLeE.com? Well let's see, my name is Neel Patel, and I'm a science geek by day and Super Web Guy by night! What do I mean by that? Well, right now, I am a student at Pennsylvania State University, The Happy Valley (We are ... Penn State!!), majoring in Biotechnology! Make fun of me all you want, I am proud to be a science geek! However, when I'm not cooking up concoctions in a lab, I indulge myself into the Internet (so far I've been to 61.78% of the Internet)! Thus far I am well versed in XHTML, CSS, and many Content Management Systems. Currently, I am teaching myself javascript and picking up a few tricks for Search Engine Optimization.
What is dubLeE.com? Well since I'm a self-taught graphic designer and web developer, I like to call dubLeE.com my little sandbox laboratory where I create and blow things up on the Internet and then show everybody! (And by blow things up, I mean my website!) So basically, dubLeE.com is my playground and professional portfolio.
How did all this come about? dubLeE.com did not happen until much later but my days, I mean nights, as a Super Web Guy started with 2 simple books, "HTML For Dummies" and " Complete Idiots Guide to Creating HTML Webpages 4." After that everything just took off. Eventually, mesmerized by all the cool colors and picture on the Web, I taught myself how to use Adobe Photoshop, thus beginning my artistic days. Then after that I found the cure cancer, patched up the ozone layer, and have successfully cloned myself! Ha, I wish! Anyways, once I established my presence on the Internet, I frolicked through the Internet soaking up as much knowledge as I could, and then one day decided to purchase my very own piece of the Internet, webspace. And with that, I finally gave birth to dubLeE.com as a final home for all my tinkering on the world wide web!
How did you come with the name and slogan? Like I said my name Neel, yes with two E's! Thus dubLeE, without the O of course. My name is pronounced the same way you would pronounce Neil, or Neal, however many people had a hard time grasping to the fact that I spelled it with two E's, and no I or A! So as a bold statement, and show off my uniqueness, I dubbed myself dubLe. Now for my slogan, Passion Lives Here. The original slogan is from the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. However, I picked it as my slogan, and my philosophy because for me, graphic design and web development is a passion, a hobby, the thing that drives me to be unique and creative! Therefore, I decided that passion should also live at dubLe.com!
